Four of a family die of food poisoning

BANGALORE, APRIL 28. The supper on Friday proved fatal for four
members of a family at Ramadevaradoddi village in Kanakapura
taluk of Bangalore Rural District.
According to police, four persons of Mr. Gopal's family died of
reported food poisoning on Friday night after they consumed
``saambar'' made of greens (soppina saaru).
The victims were identified as Mr. Gopal's mother, Devamma (75),
his two daughters, Nagamma (15) and Sathya (12), and his son,
Vinodh (09).
Mr. Gopal's wife, Ms. Susheelamma, has been admitted to a
hospital and her condition is said to be serious. Kodihalli
police have taken up a case of unnatural death.
Two boys drowned: Two boys, aged 14, who had gone to swim at a
tank on Hosur Road in Hebbagodi Police Station limits were
drowned on Friday evening.
The victims have been identified as Keshava of Bhadravati and Ram
Prasad of Doddabegur, police said. Hebbagodi police have taken up
a case of unnatural death.
