URMCA-CPI(ML), PLP release manifestoes
Guwahati, April 28. (PTI): The URMCA-CPI(ML) and PLP have
released their manifestoes for the coming Assembly elections in
Assam.
The URMCA-CPI(ML) has asked the people to resist ``moves by the
Hindutwabadi forces to establish a centralised fascist rule in
Assam,'' while the PLP has laid stress on restoring peace in the
State.
The URMCA-CPI(ML) combine has also opposed moves to seek a
solution to the tribal autonomy issue and replacement of the
Bodoland Autonomous Council by a Bodoland Territorial Council on
the basis of the Sixth Schedule.
The Pubanchalia Loka Parishad (PLP) promised to create awareness
among people against secret killings, demanded repeal of the IMDT
Act, assured to solve the recurring flood menace and upgrade
agriculture in the State.
