Islamabad keen on Musharraf-PM meet
Islamabad, Oct. 20 Pakistan tonight announced that Gen. Pervez Musharraf would travel to New York on November 10 to take part in the United Nations General Assembly session and would look forward to a meeting with the Prime Minister, Mr. Atal Behari Vajpayee.

Pak. continuing with proxy war: Fernandes
Siachen Base, Oct 20. The Defence Minister, Mr. George Fernandes, today accused Pakistan of aiding and abetting terrorism against India and said that international community should take concerted efforts to eradicate the menace.

'We'll pursue terrorists from place to place'
Shanghai, Oct. 20. The U.S. President, Mr. George W. Bush, today described the September 11 terrorist attacks on his country as an ``attack on all civilised countries'' by giving statistics and nationalities of those killed in New York - 96 Russians, 23 Australians, at least 30 Chinese, 24 Japanese, 20 Malaysians, 16 Mexicans and 21 Indonesians.

Blast averted at Pak. airport
Islamabad, Oct. 20 A major disaster was averted today thanks to timely detection of a time bomb inside the VIP lounge of Islamabad's International Airport. An unidentified person left behind the bomb in a briefcase in the lounge. The bomb disposal squad brought the briefcase out and threw it into a bin outside the car parking lot where it exploded.

7 policemen die in blast
Patna, Oct. 20 Seven police personnel were killed in a landmine blast, allegedly triggered by a gang at Jagpura in Danarua sub- division of Patna district today. The rebels blasted the police jeep which was on its way to Dhatmai outpost after information that it was being attacked by an armed group.
