Kulsoom exhorts PML to take to the streets

ISLAMABAD, APRIL 2. Ms. Kulsoom Nawaz, wife of the deposed Prime Minister, Mr. Nawaz Sharif, today asked Pakistan Muslim League leaders and workers to come out on the streets if her husband was convicted in the plane hijacking case.

``If there is a correct decision, you should thank God, but if there is any negative decision come out on the streets,'' she told PML cadre at a seminar in Lahore. Stating that Mr. Sharif could be convicted in the case under ``pressure'' from the military regime, she said, ``I ask you to come out on the streets in every city and every town. The campaign should be held throughout Pakistan.''

The Anti-Terrorism Court in Karachi, hearing the case against Mr. Sharif, his brother, Mr. Shahbaz, and five others will announce its verdict on April 6.
