Krishna meets Fernandes

NEW DELHI, APRIL 3.The Karnataka Chief Minister, Mr. S.M. Krishna, today met the Defence Minister, Mr. George Fernandes to urge for speedy implementation of the Sea-bird naval project and release additional money required for rehabilitating the affected families at Karwar.

The talks were inconclusive as the Defence Ministry had sought some ``reconciliation figures'' from the Karnataka Government. The State Government has been seeking additional funds for rehabilitation.
