Demonstration in New York
NEW YORK, APRIL 8. Several Indian organisations in U.S. today
held a demonstration protesting Pakistan's role in the recent
killing of 35 Sikhs in Anantnag and asked it to stop cross-border
terrorism.
Holding Pakistan squarely responsible for the killing in Kashmir
on the eve of President Clinton's visit to India last month, a
leading Sikh organisation in the U.S., Sikh Sangat of America,
said it is ``unfortunate'' that Pakistan had not learnt lessons
from the 1971 war.
At the end of the demonstration they submitted a memorandum to
the Pakistani consulate.
