Resignations not accepted, says Dhumal
SHIMLA, APRIL 20. The Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Mr. Prem
Kumar Dhumal, today said he had ``not yet accepted'' the
resignations of ministers and thus not forwarded them to the
Governor for his acceptance.
All ministers and chairmen and vice-chairmen of boards and
corporations had yesterday resigned to give the Chief Minister a
free hand to recast his ministry.
Mr. Dhumal said the resignations were not planned but a sudden
move by the ministers to express their full faith in his
leadership.
He said the Minister of State for Rural Development and
Panchayati Raj, Mr. Raj Ram Lal Markanda, of Himachal Vikas
Congress, had also submitted his resignation today.
