Murder case against actor

CHENNAI, MAY 30. A police constable who was seriously injured after being hit by a car allegedly driven by an actor near Loyola College on Saturday night, died today at the Government General Hospital.

The constable Ramachandran was on a vehicle check near Loyola College junction. He signalled the car in which Anand and another woman were travelling, to stop. The actor allegedly hit the constable while attempting to speed away.

The actor was arrested and a case of attempt to murder was first registered, which was altered to murder following the death of the victim.
