Solomon PM to quit
SYDNEY, JUNE 6. The Solomon Islands Prime Minister, Mr.
Bartholomew Ulufa'Alu, agreed to resign to head off the threat of
civil war in the tiny Pacific nation.
After a day of talks with the Cabinet colleagues and leaders of
the rebel group behind an attempted coup, Mr. Ulufa'Alu
``indicated his willingness to resign if his resignation is the
price of peace.''
