IT raid on Bihar Animal Husbandry director's house

PATNA, JUNE 6. Income- tax officials today raided the premises of one of the regional directors of the Bihar Animal Husbandry department, Mr. K. Prasad, and his relatives and discovered his connections with Bollywood.

The premises of Mr. Prasad, his sons, Rajesh Kumar and Kamlesh Kumar, and his brother, B. B. Prasad in Patna, Ranchi, Bangalore and Mumbai were sealed.

Documents on fixed deposits for Rs. 9 lakhs and gold bonds were recovered from these premises. The raids were under way.

Rajesh Kumar is said to have financed the film Mohra.The IT officials recovered documents relating to payments to filmstars. They alleged that he was absconding.

Meanwhile, the CBI today arrested Mr. Tripurari Mohan Prasad, who had been named accused in as many as 44 fodder scam cases. He was arrested in connection with the case filed at Chaibasa of fradulent withdrawals of Rs. 100 crores from the treasury.
