Hijacked vessel reaches Mumbai
MUMBAI, JUNE 13. The Italian cargo ship, mv Medstar, carrying 20
crew members and 14 stowaways, which moved from the high seas off
the Gujarat coast on Saturday, reached here tonight.
A Coast Guard spokespersonsaid, ``Till this moment, there does
not seem to be any transgression of Indian laws by the ship. The
ship's master has informed the Coast Guard that the 14 persons on
board were not hijackers but stowaways.''
