EPI secures Chennai metro projects

CHENNAI: Engineering Projects (India), a State-owned enterprise, has secured four tenders from Chennai MTP (Railways) for constructing stations here. Having a value of Rs. 20 crores, these projects are to be implemented with 12 months, according to a company release.

TMG floats new channel

NEW DELHI: Technology Media Group (TMG) launched on Tuesday India's first 24-hour technology satellite television channel - Tmg enter - to provide exclusive information on technology. The channel, which aims to cater to the increasing IT community and businesses in the country is expected to bring India on par with the rest of the world in information technology, a company statement said.

Nestle launches pure milk in South

CHENNAI: Nestle India has launched Nestle pure milk in the Southern markets of Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kochi. The product has already been launched in the western region. Nestle's pure milk has been put through the ultra high temperature (UHT) process. This treatment removes all bacteria while preserving the nutrients, taste and natural goodness of fresh milk, says a company release. Nestle pure milk is available in packs of 500 ml and one litre.

Indiainfo.com's B2B portal

NEW DELHI: Indiainfo.com today announced the launch of its business to business (B2B) portal, - Esourceindia.com - to act as a sourcing site for both buyers and customers. The site helps business buyers to procure a wide range of products from different suppliers via the Internet, the company said in a statement here.

CHENNAI: A group of technocrats has launched a new finance portal, sharetejimandi.com. The portal offers a platform for comprehensive reporting and analysis of the markets. The channels offered include stock markets, IPOs, mutual funds, investment schemes, insurance and personal finance.

Frontlinesoft signs MoU with U.S. firm

HYDERABAD: Frontlinesoft, a HSE listed company which commenced operations in April, announced signing of agreement with Nevada, a U. S. based software marketing company, `Product Link Inc', to work together to develop custom software and execute Internet related services. Mr. Mir Nasir Ali Khan, Managing Director, said it will execute web ranking contracts. It has also taken a 7.5 per cent stake in Product Link Inc for $1.25 lakh and is approaching the Reserve Bank of India for its approvals.

Tata Telecom bags optic network order

MUMBAI: Tata Telecom, a joint venture with Lucent Technologies, has bagged an order for setting up voice communication backbone in the about 20-acre high-tech software development centre of Bangalore-based Velankani information systems. The project would be implemented in three phases over a period of one-year.

Century Textiles gets Texprocil award

MUMBAI: Century Textiles has bagged the Texprocil's Special Gold Trophy for highest global exports for 1997-98 and Texprocil's Gold Trophy for outstanding export performance in fabrics among India's top exporters (Mill) for 1998-99. Mr. R. K. Dalmia, president, Century Textiles, received the award from the Textiles Minister, Mr. Kashiram Rana.
