Minister to boycott Cabinet meeting

GANDHINAGAR, JUNE 13. The Gujarat Deputy Minister for Labour and Employment, Mr Purshottam Solanki, today said he would stay away from office and the Cabinet meeting tomorrow in protest against the alleged ``police conspiracy'' to involve his brother in the tussle for supremacy between cable operators in Ahmedabad city.

Mr Solanki told reporters here this afternoon that he was against the ``police conspiring to involve'' his brother, Mr Bharat Solanki, in a case of attempted murder.

He said he would draw the Chief Minister, Mr. Keshubhai Patel's attention to the issue again as no action had been taken to sort out the matter in which he claimed his brother had been falsely implicated.
