Adani Wilmar to market packed palmolein oil

AHMEDABAD, AUG. 20. Adani Wilmar Limited, the partnership firm
between the Ahmedabad-based Adani group and the Singapore based
Wilmar Trading Private Limited, will be marketing packed superior
quality refined edible palmolein oil for the consumers.
According to a spokesman of the Rs. 3,300 crore Adani group, the
packaging of the ``jubilee'' brand oil imported from Wilmar's own
refinery in Malaysia and Indonesia would be done at the Adani's
own packaging locations at Chennai, Mumbai, Kakinada and Mundra,
the port developed by the Adani group in Kutch region in Gujarat,
with the aim of reaching the consumers within a maximum of 10
days to provide fresh and quality product.
The group has selected Tamil Nadu as the first State to launch
the product within the next few days. Wilmar Trading is the
world's second largest player in edible oil trade having its own
plantations in Malaysia and Indonesia and also owned a fleet of
vessels to transport the products to different countries.
The group has targeted to achieve at least 15 per cent of the
estimated 8,000 tonnes packed palmolein oil market in Tamil Nadu
in the first six months.
After palmolein, the company had plans to launch packed soybean,
refined sunflower and other edible oils in the next couple of
months.
