Fishermen issue

NEW DELHI, SEPT. 23. India and Sri lanka today decided to consider setting up a monitoring mechanism which could periodically review the problems concerned with fishermen in custody in both the countries.

At a high-level meeting here today, both sides agreed that the problem of fishermen should be dealt with in a spirit of compassion and understanding and that the release of those in custody should not be delayed
