The week ahead

THIS week there is a New Moon in the sign of Libra, which means that the Sun and Moon are at the exact same sign and degree in the sky and make what is called a conjunction. While the Full Moon typically brings a climax or a conclusion to a situation, the New Moon is about fresh starts and new beginnings. Since this New Moon falls in Libra, issues that are likely to take precedence this week will be relationships, equality, harmony, love and beauty. Libra rules marriage; most specifically the marriage between two equals rather than the marriage between a dominant partner and a subordinate one.

Take a look at your own relationships this week, both romantic and platonic. Pay attention to the balance of power and try to figure out where it lies and why, and what this entails for those involved. You would do especially well to discuss some of these issues outright with your partner, as you may be surprised to find that their perspective is quite different from your own.

For Makara, Kumbha, Kataka and Simha Lagnas, will Saturn in the Seventh cause marriage to be delayed?

V. K. Rao, Srirangam.

FOR Kataka and Simha Lagnas, Sani (Saturn) in the 7th, will be in Makara or Kumbha his own signs. Saturn is considered to have Digbala in the 7th. It cannot be blindly construed that Saturn in the 7th will cause delay in the marriage of the native. Saturn in the Seventh could be one of the contributory factors. To consider the question fully and properly, the strength and placement of Seventh Lord, Kalathra Karaka, the effects of Maha Dasa and Bhukthi, and also the influence of Gochara (planets in transit) must all be considered.
