India Cements launches portal

CHENNAI, OCT. 2. A comprehensive website - Homztoday.com - focussing on a variety of home needs has been launched by India Cements.

Launching the portal on Sunday here, Mr. T. S. Raghupathy, President (marketing), India Cements, said this would meet the ever rising needs of customers and would be one of the avenues to reach out to the end customer. The idea was to provide information - ranging from property purchase to vaastu, services, utilities and neighbourhood - for various categories of users, he added.

The portal currently carries information relating to Chennai and other cities will be included in due course.

Later in an informal chat with presspersons Mr. N. Srinivasan, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, said construction activities had started picking up especially in rural areas and cement prices would remain firm. With no new additions to capacity likely in the near future, India Cements which had carried out its consolidation exercise successfully, was hopeful of a bright future, he added.
