Microsoft in alliance with Commerce One

NEW DELHI: Global software giant Microsoft has announced its alliance with e-commerce solutions company Commerce One for delivering business-to-business solutions. ``Under the agreement, the two companies would collaborate on the development and delivery of Commerce One e-marketplace infrastructure technologies optimised for Microsoft.Net platform," according to a company release.

IFCI raises $20m

NEW DELHI: IFCI has said that it has raised $20 million in the first tranche of its $50 million debt programme for meeting its financing requirements. The syndicated loan, the first commercial borrowing from West Asia, was underwritten and arranged by Mashreq Bank of Dubai at LIBOR plus 0.65 per cent interest rate and a repayment period of three years. ``The loan facility will be utilised for meeting its general financing requirements," according to an IFCI release. IFCI has given mandate to Mashreq Bank for a syndicate loan up to $50 million.

P&G ties up with Doctoranywhere.com

CHENNAI: Procter & Gamble Hygiene & Healthcare has tied up with Doctoranywhere.com, an online consulting service that enables consultation, referral and interaction of doctors with specialist consultants. The service will help general physicians access expert assistance and modern technology from specialists. This will also ensure better, convenient and cost-effective treatment to patients, says Mr. Mahesh Iyer, Associate Director, P & G in a release.

Compaq's new server

BGNGALORE: Compaq India has launched a new server, ProLiant ML330, fully integrated in India at the India Configuration Centre here. It is designed to meet the networking needs of small and medium enterprises and remote offices with minimal IT infrastructure. ML330 will offer the latest configurations to the local market due to better inventory management.

Radiant Software alliance with University

CHENNAI: The Chennai-based Radiant Software and Manonmanium Sundaranar University have signed a strategic alliance to offer full time PG degree programmes starting from the academic year 2000-2001. The course is industry relevant with high end technology and hands-on sessions on state-of-the-art computer equipment, according to a release.
