11 massacred in Bihar
SIWAN, OCT. 14. In a fresh outbreak of violence, eleven members
of a Yadav family were mowed down by unidentified gunmen at
Mujahipur village under Muffasil police station in Bihar's Siwan
district on Friday night sparking off tension.
Two persons suffered gun-shot injuries in the attack. One of them
was sent to Patna Medical College hospital in a critical
condition.
The killing has sparked off communal tension in the Muffasil
police area.
The RJD president, Mr. Laloo Prasad Yadav, accompanied by Bihar
Ministers, Mr. Shivanand Tiwari and Mr. Awadh Bihari Choudhury
visited the spot to make an on-the-spot study of the situation.
Mr. Yadav met the affected family members and assured that the
State Government would not ``spare anyone'' found to be involved
in the massacre.
The BJP, CPI and CPI(M)(L) have strongly condemned the killing
and held the State administration responsible for the carnage.
The CPI(M)(L) in a press statement in Patna demanded the
immediate arrest of RJD's Siwan MP, Mr. Mohammed Sahabuddin.
