Dawood aide escapes

KARIMNAGAR (AP), OCT. 14. Raju Bhayya alias Bade Raju Gangaram, a close associate of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, today escaped while being taken for treatment to the district hospital from the jail here. A red alert has been sounded.

The jail superintendent, Mr. G. Jayawardhan,said 12 non-bailable warrants were pending against Bhayya, arrested on September 23 by the Korutla police in connection with an attempt to murder case.
