The week ahead
THIS week, the dreamy planet Neptune changes direction in the sky
and goes Direct (that is, it reverts to its traditional course,
from which had previously departed). Neptune rules spirituality,
dreams, our concept of the divine, and just about anything that
takes us away from reality and transports us to the land of
fantasy. As you can imagine, there are very positive as well as
very negative manifestations of Neptune's energy. Neptune ruled
both Mother Theresa ministering to the sick and the misguided
souls who followed cult leader Jim Jones to their deaths. For
most of us, the two polarities won't be quite as extreme as these
two examples, but we are likely to experience both faces of
Neptune at some point in our lives. This week you may want to
consider looking at your own escapist tendencies and think about
where it is that you go when the world becomes too much for you
to face head on.

Queries Answered
For Thula Lagna, Guru, owning 3rd and 6th is a Maraka. Guru gets
Neechabanga Raja Yogam with exalted Mars in Makara. Could Guru's
Rajayoga status neutralise the Maraka effect in the current Guru
Maha Dasa?
V. Ranganathan, Chennai-18.
GURU'S owning the Third and the Sixth is not a good factor.
Neechabanga Raja Yogam can be deemed good. Mars, owning the
Second and the Seventh, is adverse. Mars is also a malefic for
Thula Lagna. The vital point for longevity is the position of
Lagna Lord Venus, the aspects he receives, and the placement of
Ayush Karaka Saturn. The Neechabanga Raja Yoga here sees Guru and
Mars in conjunction giving rise to Guru Mangala Yogam. When an
exalted Malefic is associated with a debilitated benefic, good
results can come.
