Vajpayee walks a bit
By Our Special Correspondent
MUMBAI, OCT. 16. The Prime Minister, Mr. A. B. Vajpayee, today
stepped out of his hospital room, and, using a walker, walked up
and down a corridor for about 15 minutes.
Hitherto, his movements were within the confines of his room
where physiotherapists are working on him as well. He spends most
of his time reading and holding consultations with select aides.
So far, it has not been decided whether Mr. Vajpayee will move
into the Raj Bhavan or will go directly to New Delhi.
The Prime Minister spoke to the Lok Sabha Speaker, Mr. G. M. C.
Balayogi, who is in Jakarta for the 104th session of the Inter-
Parliamentary Union.
