Legislature session from tomorrow
By Our Special Correspondent
BANGALORE, OCT. 21. The 13-day adjourned meeting of the State
Legislature will commence at 2 p.m. on October 23.
Though the session is likely to go on till November 10, the
actual number of the days of the session is only 13 owing to some
holidays beginning with Deepavali on October 26. Mr. Yakub
Sharief, Secretary, Legislative Assembly, told presspersons on
Saturday that the Assembly would meet on Monday when the newly-
elected member from the Kagwad constituency, Mr. Bharamagouda
Alagouda Patil (JD-U), would take oath.
Obituary references to the former Chief Minister, S.
Nijalingappa, and other former members of the State Assembly
would be taken up. The House would adjourn for the day to meet on
Tuesday. He said nine ordinances, including the controversial
Karnataka Cooperative Societies (Amendment) Ordinance, would be
passed.
