Tamil Nadu fisherman rescued
COLOMBO, DEC. 4. A fisherman hailing from Rameswaram in Tamil
Nadu, who was pushed overboard a fishing trawler by fellow crew
members in Sri Lanka's northwest Pesalai coast, was today rescued
by the Sri Lankan Navy.
The Army spokesman, Brig. Sanath Karunartna, said Moorthy Govinda
Ras, swam towards Pesalai, before he was picked up.
He was later handed over to police.
