Spinners do the trick for Kerala

CHENNAI, DEC. 5. Kerala beat Goa by three runs in the Subbiah Pillai Trophy cricket tournament in a tie that was reduced to 35- overs-a-side owing to wet outfield, at the Southern Railway grounds here on Tuesday.

Kerala, put in to bat, was able to muster only 144. But significant contributions from spinners Chandra Sekhara (three for 18) and Sreekumar Nair (four for 27) helped Kerala clinch the issue.
