Goa MLAs return to Cong.

PANAJI, DEC. 14. All four legislators of the newly formed Goa Peoples Congress Party (Zuwarkar) group today returned to the Congress fold, taking the party's strength in the Assembly to nine.

Mr. Somnath Zuwarkar, Mr. Subhash Shirodkar, Mrs. Victoria Fernandes and Mr. Francis Silvera had yesterday split from the Goa Peoples Congress and formed a separate group. With their return, the Congress has emerged the main Opposition party in the 40-member House.
