Ranchi peaceful, curfew continues
RANCHI, JAN. 2. Situation remained peaceful during six-hour
curfew relaxation period and also in the four police station
areas of Ranchi where curfew was totally lifted today, the Ranchi
Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Sukhdev Singh said.
However, curfew was reimposed in relaxed areas after 4 p.m. as
announced earlier, he said.
In the four police station areas - Gonda, Chutia, Kanke and
Argoda (excluding Kadru locality) - where curfew was lifted
totally this morning, the situation also remained peaceful, Mr.
Singh said.
The State Chief Secretary, Mr. V.S. Dubey will have a review
meeting with senior government officials here.
