No-trust vote fails in Nepal
KATHMANDU, JAN. 4. Dissident MPs from the ruling Nepali Congress
failed today in a bid to bring a motion of no-confidence against
the Prime Minister, Mr. Girija Prasad Koirala, party officials
said.
The motion against Mr. Koirala's leadership of the party was
brought by 57 MPs led by former Prime Minister, Mr. Sher Bahadur
Deuba, at a Congress Parliamentary Party meeting. But it failed
when Mr. Koirala refused to hold a secret ballot.
