Bookies held
CHANDIGARH, FEB. 1. Chandigarh police today claimed to have
busted a gang of bookies allegedly involved in betting on
yesterday's one-day international cricket match between New
Zealand and Sri Lanka with the arrest of six persons.
Policeraided a local hotel last night and arrested the six.The
accused were produced before a local court which remanded four of
them to police custody for two days and the other two to judicial
custody till February 14.
