Hepatitis-B vaccineoffered at cheaper rates

HYDERABAD, FEB. 1. The Indian Medical Association, Charminar
branch, is offering hepatitis-B vaccine at concessional price
with a view to making it affordable to the common man. Each child
dose will be administered for Rs. 50 and adult dose for Rs. 100.
The vaccine will be offered on all days throughout the year from
10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the IMA vaccination centres adjacent to
Medwin Hospitals, Nampally, and the Chaitanyapuri bus stop,
Dilsukhnagar.

Dr. C.L. Venkata Rao, Honorary secretary, said in a press release
here today.
Free camp on Feb. 3
A free multi-category disability detection, screening and
assessment camp would be held by the Thakur Hari Prasad Institute
of Research and Rehabilitation for the Mentally Handicapped at
the Primary Health Centre, Saroornagar, Ranga Reddy district, at
10 a.m. on Saturday.
A team of professionals, para-professionals and grassroots
functionaries had already conducted a door-to-door survey and had
identified a few hundred cases in six villages in Saroornagar
mandal, according to a press release.
Even community members residing in the vicinity of the camp could
refer cases on the day, it said.
