Speaker reviews arrangements for Assembly session
By Our Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD, FEB. 10. The Speaker, Mrs. K. Prathibha Bharati,
reviewed on Saturday security and other arrangements for the
upcoming budget session of the Assembly.
She held a high-level meeting with senior police officials. She
was informed about the bandobast and security arrangements and
that entry would be restricted to valid pass-holders. Parking
arrangements for members, officials and the media also came up
for review.
Mrs. Prathibha Bharati interacted with the Press Gallery
Committee, representatives of the electronic media and
photographers. She proposed that the official media cover the
proceedings of the House live and that other TV channels could
pick them up from a common output.
The Assembly opens with an address by the Governor, Dr. C.
Rangarajan, at 9:30 a.m. on February 14, after a breakfast hosted
by the Speaker to the Council of Ministers and floor leaders at
the Jubilee Hall. The House would take up condolence motions the
following day.
