Drops that make a difference
THEY ARE mere drops in the ocean of effort. But sure, they will
make a difference. "Mere", an exhibition of paintings by artists
in and around Chennai, will be organised by Apparao Galleries,
Nungambakkam, to raise funds for the victims of the killer quake
in Gujarat. The proceeds of the show, to be held at Park
Sheraton, from February 21 to 23, will go to AHEL -Gujarat
Earthquake, a trust set up by Apollo Hospitals. R.B. Bhaskaran,
Palaniappan, Muralidharan and A.Bala are some of the artists who
have donated their paintings for this fund-raiser.
Apollo Hospitals has a team of doctors who are working with the
Confederation of Indian Industries camp in Gujarat. The camp is
administering medical aid to the victims. For details regarding
