Jogi wins from Marwahi
NEW DELHI, FEB. 23. The Chhattisgarh Chief Minister, Mr. Ajit
Jogi, today won the Marwahi Assembly seat even as the BJP wrested
the Hindoli seat in Rajasthan and Shahpur (Madhya Pradesh) from
the Congress in the byelections to 12 constituencies spread over
nine States held on February 19. The Samata Party wrested the
Ashthawa Assembly seat, from the Rashtriya Janata Dal.
The Samajwadi Party and the SAD-BJP alliance bagged one seat each
and the Telugu Desam Party two as per the results available so
far.
