Criminal proceedings against two developers

HYDERABAD, MARCH 24

The Hyderabad Urban Development Authority has initiated criminal proceedings against two layout developers in the Seri Lingampally Munipality for selling the plots under land mortgaged to the HUDA, thus violating layout rules.

The developers have also violated the condition that no plots should be sold without the approval of final layout. The land was mortgaged to the authority at the time of sanction of the draft layout, a press release issued by the HUDA on Saturday said. The developers are Raghavendra Shelters Pvt Ltd, Kondapur, (survey no.100) and Cyber Enclave, Nalagandla (survey no.318 and 319).

The release said Raghavendra Shelters Pvt Ltd, which was sanctioned the draft layout on July 18, 2000, so1d 14 plots to the public and registered them. It had mortgaged 25 per cent of the land to the HUDA. Cyber Enclave which mortgaged 28 plots sold 11 of them to the public.

According to the release, the HUDA is taking up the matter with the Registration department to look into this unauthorised transaction and furnish a detailed report, so that appropriate action was proposed to the Government.
