AHMEDABAD, MARCH 24. Several miscreants ransacked a Mumbai-based Gujarati daily's office located in Suryarath building in the posh Panchavati area of the city, late last night.

The police sources said here that some miscreants managed to break open the lock when the office of the Mumbai Samachar was closed. During the preliminary investigation it had been found that nothing was missing from the office.

In his police complaint with the Navrangpura police station, Mr. Atul Mehta, general manager, Ahmedabad, said miscreants had ransacked the office files as if they were looking for some documents.

A team of fingerprint experts and dog squad had been called to assist the investigation officials, the sources added. - UNI
