NBW against Sharad Yadav
PATNA, MARCH 25. A non-bailable arrest warrant has been issued
against the Civil Aviation Minister, Mr. Sharad Yadav, by the CJM
of Madhepura district, Mr. Mathura Mandal, for allegedly driving
out voters from polling stations during the last Lok Sabha
elections.
The SP of Madhepura, Mr. Jagmohan, confirmed that the CJM had
taken cognisance of the complaint and an FIR lodged with the
Sadar police station here on October 9, 1999 by two local college
teachers, Mr. Vishnu Deo Yadav and Mr. Jagdeo Yadav.
Mr. Sharad Yadav, on March 3, 1999, went to polling stations with
armed supporters and forcefully drove out voters who had
assembled there to exercise their franchise.
