Joy everywhere

BANGALORE, MARCH 25. While spectators inside the stadium waved flaming scorecards, India's victory was also celebrated all over the City. Crackers were burst; cricket fans started dancing on streets and vehicles on the road honked in joy.

Pubs and bars stayed open late for the celebrants to toast India's 60-run victory.

As most people stayed in the stadium till the end of play there was a stampede getting out. People who had parked their vehicles in the streets around Cubbon Road created a late night traffic jam. The police, who were also in a jubilant mood, took it all sportingly.
