Releasing the results at a press conference here on Monday, the Minister for School Education, Mr. K. Srihari, described the improvement as ``very significant.'' He attributed it to close monitoring and supervisory studies imparted to children.

Prakasam district retained its number one position with 82.45 per cent as against 70.71 per cent last year, closely followed by Warangal, recording an impressive 80.55 per cent from 46.41 per cent last year.
