Five in a row: Sundram Fasteners wins GM award

CHENNAI, APRIL 30. Sundram Fasteners Limited (SFL) belonging to the TVS group, has recently won the ``Supplier of the Year Award'' for the year 2000 from the General Motors Corporation. Sundram Fasteners has won the award five times in a row.

According to a company press release, SFL is the only Indian company among the 165 suppliers selected from 19 countries across the globe to receive the award. The award was recently given away at a function in Washington D.C.

Sundram Fasteners supplies radiator caps to 27 General Motors plants located across the globe. The company has so far supplied 30 million radiator caps to GM.

Mr. Suresh Krishna, Chairman and Managing Director, Sundram Fasteners, said that ``it will be our endeavour to remain at the top and continue to supply quality products to our valued customers in a globally competitive environment in the years to come.''
