Mercedes-Benz launches new car model

HYDERABAD, MAY 6. Claiming to have lived upto its promise of
making the latest technology available to Indian customers,
Mercedes-Benz India Limited today launched its new model, the C-
Class, in Hyderabad. The two versions C 180 petrol and C 200 CDI
Diesel will now be available across the country.
Disclosing this to newsmen the Mercedes-Benz General Manager
(Aftersales), Mr. Antonio Faria, said the C-Class model was
launched in Europe six months ago. With the launch of the new
model, Mercedes-Benz India Limited was now offering an attractive
portfolio of S, E and C-Class and was prepared to offer the
widest choice for its customers in the luxury segments between Rs
20 to Rs 60 lakhs.
The C-Class car has an ex-showroom price of Rs 20.76 lakh in
Hyderabad. This model would also be produced at the MB India's
state-of-the-art factory in Pune where already the E and S-Class
cars are produced.
Replying to questions, Mr. Faria said the company hoped to sell
around 60 cars in Andhra Pradesh by this year-end and about 750
cars all over the country. More than 4,500 cars were already sold
in the country eversince Mercedes-Benz began its operations in
the country.
Mr. Faria said the company would be organising road shows in
Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry and Bheemavaram shortly.
He maintained that the Mercedes-Benz cars made in India were as
genuine and as perfect as those made in Germany.
