Stir planned against 'injustice' to Jayalalitha

NEW DELHI, MAY 8. The All India Women Legislators Forum today criticised the Chief Election Commissioner, Dr. M.S. Gill, for the ``injustice caused to Ms. Jayalalitha by ambiguous guidelines and confusing statements in the media which resulted in the rejection of the nomination papers of the AIADMK leader for contesting the Assembly elections.''

The forum convenor, Ms. Komireddi Jyothi Devi, said here that the nomination papers of a convicted man in Kerala was accepted even though his period of sentence was more than that of Ms. Jayalalitha.

In the event of failure to undo the ``injustice'' done to Ms. Jayalalitha, the forum consisting of MLAs/ex-MLAs would launch a political/legal agitation, she said in a statement.
