Acting workshop concludes

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MAY 20. The two-day workshop on acting organised by The Hindu-Young World as part of the `Newspaper in Education' project concluded this evening with a performance by the participating students.

The students presented Balloonukal, a short play, which formed the culmination of the two-day training sessions that they were exposed to. On the final day of the workshop today, there were classes on stagecraft and lighting among other things.

The workshop also had sessions on `Acting and Natya Shasthra', `Classical Dramaturgy' and an audio-visual presentation on `Film acting-genres and styles'.

The workshop had been organised in collaboration with the Abhinaya Theatre Group.
