1:1 bonus from Monsanto India
The board of directors of Monsanto India has recommended issue of
one bonus share for every equity share held in the company. It
has also recommended payment of dividend of Rs. 10 per share for
the year ended March 31, 2001.
The company has reported a net profit of Rs. 19.24 crores during
the year on a total income of Rs. 272.06 crores. Net sales were
Rs. 269.68 crores while other income was Rs. 2.38 crores.
The net profit during the previous year was Rs. 12.03 crores and
total income Rs. 114.49 crores.
The company stated that the figures for the current year are not
comparable with those of the previous year.
