IOB carries too many guns for Artillery Centre

KARUR, MAY 23. Fresh from its trophy triumph in the tournament at Periyakulam on Monday, Indian Overseas Bank, Chennai, silenced Artillery Centre, Hyderabad, 54-49 to enter the semifinal round- robin league of the 46th LRG Naidu memorial Cup All-India basketball tournament here on Wednesday.

Earlier, Indian Bank, Chennai, and DLW, Varanasi, made it to the semifinal league defeating Loyola Basketball Club, Chennai, 66-49 and Customs, Chennai, 62-58 respectively.

The other team to enter the league was Integral Coach Factory, Chennai, with its opponent, Madras Engineering Group and Centre, Bangalore, failing to turn up.
