ST reservation cut in Bihar

PATNA, MAY 23. The Bihar Government has slashed the reservation for Scheduled Tribes in government services from 10 to one per cent, the Cabinet Secretary, Mr. Girish Shanker, said here today. The Cabinet, at a meeting yesterday, approved an

ordinance seeking to replace the Reservation Act, 1991 drastically reducing quota for Scheduled Tribes and enhancing quotas for Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes.
