Kirti Azad arrested

DARBHANGA, MAY 23. The BJP Lok Sabha member, Mr. Kirti Azad, was arrested here today on charges of leading a mob which locked the Bihar State Electricity Board's General Manager-cum-Chief Engineer in his office and misbehaved with him.

The Sub-Divisional Officer (Sadar) said the mob of nearly 500 people, demanding regular power supply to the district town, also held a demonstration in front of the office. The BJP town president, Mr. Sanjay Kumar Saraogi, and the former BJP district president, Mr. Jagdish Shah, were also arrested.
