Blind man scales Everest


KATHMANDU, MAY 25. An American, Mr. Erik Weihenmayer, became the first blind person to conquer Mount Everest.

Mr. Sherman Bull, a 64-year-old surgeon from Connecticut (U.S.), became the oldest person to scale Mount Everest when he reached the summit accompanied by his Nepalese guide, Mr. Lakpa Sherpa, the Tourism Ministry said.
