Frigate launched

MOSCOW, MAY 25. The third Talwar class frigate for the Indian Navy was launched in St. Petersburg on Friday.

The project 1135.6 frigate, christened Tabar, is the last of three ships being constructed in Russia under a $930-million contract. The first frigate, Talwar, is to join the Indian Navy in May 2002.
