Pondy CM meets Sonia

NEW DELHI, MAY 26. The Pondicherry Chief Minister, Mr. P. Shanmugham, today called on the Congress president, Ms. Sonia Gandhi, to discuss the Cabinet expansion and inclusion of the AIADMK in the Ministry. Mr. Shanmugham also met the AICC general secretary, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad, who is in charge of party affairs in Pondicherry.

The Congress leader, who arrived here on Friday night, is expected to be here for two days to finalise the two issues. Mr. Shanmugham was sworn in Chief Minister on Thursday after the Congress won 11 seats in the 30-member House.
