THIS week features the retrograde motion of Uranus in Aquarius beginning on Tuesday, May 29. Uranus is the planet of technology, innovation and new ways of thinking. When Uranus goes retrograde, new ideas from the past begin to be implemented and new ideas from the present get put on hold until the retrograde is finished, which will be on October 30, 2001.

Electronic and technological equipment perform erratically when Uranus goes retrograde. Mercury, the planet of communications, also is slowing down in preparation to turn retrograde in Gemini on Monday, June 4. So prepare for communications to slow down.

THIS is a question asking for a snap answer on the basis of just one feature of the horoscope.

The Lagna, its strength and that of Lagnadhipathi need to be known. What aspects do these receive? Where is the Moon? What is the position of Kalatra Karaka Venus? Is this a man's horoscope or a woman;'s? There is not enough data on such important questions. Off the cuff answers to queries like this can be misleading.

To illustrate how Kethu in 7th need not be harmful, we take the horoscope of a lady of Kanya Lagna, with Mars in the 8th and Jupiter in the 3rd, aspecting the 7th. She is now happily married.
